GALAXIES and COSMOLOGY department at the Institute of Astronomy and National Astronomical Observatory (IANAO) at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) carries out fundamental research within three scientific projects:

• Complex Research of Active Galactic Nuclei
  
• Physiscal Processes in the Early Universe
  
  

We collect observational data at the Rozhen National Astronomical Observatory and Belogradchik Astronomical Observatory, both operated by IANAO.
