depends on what med school you attend Caribbean i have two friends of mine who attended St. George's University in Grenada, both of which had great grades and good mcat scores, which you need to enroll into that school, and not only did they get into great residency programs (one at nyu surgery and the other at emory emergency medicine) but their degrees were accepted...it all depends on the school if the school doesnt want mcat scores and etc then in most cases it's not a legit school but alot of med students come from the islands, and overseas (asia,europe,spain)to america all you have to do before you can go into residency is take the usmle,4 parts total ( two while your in your studies and the final two before you go into residency) the same thing that you'd have to do if you attended a usa med school, so basically it depends on the school and YOUR WORK ETHIC....
