FYI, Kelly Bryant is the starting quarterback. The 2013 Missouri Tigers football team (also called "Mizzou") represented the University of Missouri in the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. It marked the Tigers' second season as a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in the Eastern Division. The team was led by head coach Gary Pinkel, in his 13th year and played its home games at Faurot Field in Columbia, Missouri.
He’ll have a chance to win the starting kicking job right away, but I doubt he’ll be asked to punt and kick.Borom got a lot of work at right tackle in 2019, so it remains to be seen if he’s more comfortable there or if the Tigers want him to move to the left side and install White at right tackle. He beat out Christian Holmes, who started eight games last season for the Tigers.Holmes is listed as the backup to Ware and Adam Sparks is the backup for Acy.Another surprise is last year’s starter Khalil Oliver is a co-starter with Ronnell Perkins.
They’ll both have another chance to claim a starting spot this fall.Mevis joins the Tigers as the No. Robinson sat out the 2019 season, per NCAA transfer rules, but now has 2 years of eligibility left. He might end up 3rd or 4th on the depth chart depending on how good Brady Cook is.

That, obviously, will hurt him. A few tweaks in the depth chart, but not much has changed for Mizzou football. The Mizzou football team is set heading to Wyoming for its opening game of the season.
The stats are based upon the last 5 games played. New coach Eliah Drinkwitz will have limited scholarships to work with, due to NCAA penalties handed down last year, but he’ll also be tasked with improving on the Tigers’ 6-6 record from 2019.While he tackles that task, he’ll have a number of key position battles to navigate. Kobie Whiteside still has the No. 2 heading into camp and likely way going to win the job.For special teams, Tyler Badie is the kick returner while Richaud Floyd, who moved from receiver to cornerback this year, is the punt returner.Build your custom FanSided Daily email newsletter with news and analysis on Missouri Tigers and all your favorite sports teams, TV shows, and more.Your privacy is safe with us. COLUMBIA, MO - NOVEMBER 10: Head coach Barry Odom of the Missouri Tigers prepares to lead his team onto the field for a game against the Vanderbilt Commodores at Memorial Stadium on November 10, 2018 in Columbia, Missouri. (Photo by Ed Zurga/Getty Images)The Mizzou football team is set heading to Wyoming for its opening game of the season. We’ll start wit the defense, as the biggest surprise heading into the first game of the season was at cornerback.Sophomore cornerback Jarvis Ware won the top job to start the year as he is listed as the starting cornerback next to senior DeMarcus Acy. Powell has to execute some plays we haven’t seen him consistently execute yet, but a good receiver coach could put Powell in the hunt. Let’s break down the 4 most important position battles Mizzou faces heading into the 2020 season:The favorite has to be TCU transfer Shawn Robinson. If Drink needs a running quarterback in a situation where the opponent is going to suspect quarterback keeper or pass back to the QB, Robinson is going to be the man.
Meanwhile, Powell has the most experience, but with a new coaching staff coming in, that won’t matter as much as it would have if Barry Odom and OC Derek Dooley were still around.Incoming freshman Brady Cook could also work his way into this mix, but I see him redshirting this year and entering 2021 with a chance to earn the backup role.Don’t expect anyone to replace the skill and production Albert O brought to the position, especially since Parker and Hea are bigger guys who are better at blocking. This is also a spot where Drinkwitz could consider adding a graduate transfer or a JUCO player to add depth to the position.I don’t anticipate there being much of a QB battle between Robinson and Powell. Yes, he probably would have done better had he stuck with one job or the other, but Mizzou needed him to do both, and he stepped up and did it.Koetting and Dodge were on the roster in 2019, but neither could take one of McCann’s jobs from him.
Return • Jump to Bottom • Bottom. Maybe he’s a late bloomer, but honestly I don’t see him winning the job. I’d say it’s Robinson, Bazelak, Cook, then Powell.
Page 1. Michael Wayne Bratton | 1 year ago. Still, Parker made some nice catches last year and could get a bigger role in 2020.The guy to watch, though, is Swinson. That has to be seen as a great sign for Robinson.Joining him in the mix for the starting job will be Taylor Powell and Connor Bazelak.
