This means pretty much all of RootA never actually happened, and there's no anime adaptation for everything between the end of s1 and the beginning of :Re...So since the first season covers somewhere around 60(ish) out of 144 chapters of the manga this means anime only watchers have now essentially skipped ahead about 84 chapters of story.This is why I would highly recommend anyone watching or planning to watch :Re to go read the manga first.Hope that explains why :Re can seem confusing!

So the third season of Tokyo Ghoul Recently started airing and it has turned out to be quite confusing for alot of anime only fans. For example: the last scene of the final episode where the happy ending song was playing in the background and all the sad stuff kept on happening. Yes, it can be enjoyable at some levels, but generally, I am not a fan of confusing, cringey and badly produced shows that give you an occasional laugh every now and then, especially when the plot is so intriguing.

Even though managed to get all the plot essentials straight this time and didn’t differentiate from the original plot, If you have watched the two previous seasons, you know what the setting of takes place two years after the CCG’s raid on Anteiku. plot could have been amazing and engaging but was so poorly directed and animated that was just sad to watch.
