The Astronomical Observatory Belogradchik is operated by the Institute of Astronomy and National Astronomical Observatory Rozhen, Bugarian Academy of Sciences. Its main function is to perform fundamental astronomical and astrophysical research, and to promote astronomy in Bulgaria.
