The hotel is situated very close to the city centre - around 10-minute walk to the main shopping street. Just opposite the hotel, there is a shopping centre with all kinds of shops, cinema theatre and restaurants. This travel map has plenty of information in English about sightseeing opportunities.

For those arriving at the airport, a taxi is the preferred transport. You just need to tell the Hotel name - Hemus and they will know where to bring you.
However we will give you some advice to avoid getting a "wrong" taxi. At the airport there is only one company allowed to offer driving service (OK super-trans). However, there are some "false" drivers, that may meet you inside the airport, offer you a transport and bring you further away from the building. They may be illegal drivers and will ask for a much higher fare.
However, if you go to the main taxi stand just at the main entrance, you should be fine. The transport from the airport to the hotel should cost about 12-15 BGN (in the local currency, ~7EU).
If you happen to arrive at the bus or the train station we suggest taking the underground for a few stops. Otherwise, be carefull if getting a cab - never trust someone waiting in the lounge, always use the main stands, and if they ask you for more than 10 BGN there must be something wrong.
