EK, East Kilbride has the most exciting retail, leisure, and dining brands within its mile of malls. The last time I sent a note in with it saying these tops are red and the packaging says white and they replied apologetic andWent up yesterday lots of shops closed down and lots not open ,Mark's & Spencer's gone, next going .dont think we will be backStaff were good, food not a good selection, had to complain about food being cold. Today, it's a bit pathetic and every second lot seems to be lying empty.
EK, East Kilbride (previously East Kilbride Shopping Centre) is Scotland's biggest undercover shopping centre. The trLooking forward to seeing the town centre when the works are finished, my only gripe is the heat....why does it have to be so warm both in the centre & in the shops? I come to Eastkilbride once a year and I enjoy nothing more then wondering around for hours window shopping and then having a great snack at the food court. But just between you and me, Silverburn's kind of up its arse, don't you think? It has 2 food courts so you're spolit for choice.
There is also a Post Office which is incredibly busy and should not be visited if you are in any sort of a hurry!This is a huge shopping mall that always seems to be busy. With ice skating and the cinema which is brilliant new comfortable seats .

If you'd shopped here 5 years ago, it was a plethora of shops and you were able to get absolutely everything you were looking for. Eastgate Metroplex is reinventing a Tulsa icon for business, community, and educational uses. There are a couple of food courts, one which overlooks the curling rink, and the other which has such outlets as Subway, KFC and Pizza Hut. There is also a decent sized cinema and ice skating rink for later on. It puts me off being there. The centre is split into different zones but when your inside it just runs together so you would never know.
Everyone wants to go to shiny Silverburn now and leave you to rot. There is free parking on a Thursday night for late shopping think it starts after 4pm. Parking is not free however very cheap. Pleanty of parking spaces with free parking on sundays.An ok shopping centre with plenty of parking & easy access to the nearest train station & bus stops.East Kilbride Shopping Centre is a funny place. This centre gets very popular though and parking is not always easy. When you walk in from the bus station entrance, it looks like a complete dump, with most of the shops boarded up. The walk from one end to the other is at least a mile and is East Kilbride's substitute to the high street containing everything from a wee newsagent to a supermarket to the usual high street suspects in clothing and eating.This is a sprawling shopping centre which easily caters for all your needs under one roof.
I think it's fair to say that this particular shopping centre is infamous for attracting such ilk and they usually congregate around the ice-rink.I used to come here with my Gran when I was a kid as an alternative to going shopping in Hamilton, and there have only been minor changes since then (for better or worse).
Its OK but not brilliant. It has everything under the one roof - with a ice rink and a cinema.
