I had requested a replacement when the book arrived with the binding peeling a bit and the front and back covers were cut slightly smaller than the pages inside so the pages actually stick out. If only children's books were still like this today. A Day at the Seashore (Little Golden Book) I don't know why.Another winner from Little Golden Books. Another in a long line of "Little Golden Book" series for young children. There is, however, some imagery on the mountainside that depicts a village of First Nations People in a way that was typical for the time the book was written, but that has brought up some discussion with my son now in 2019. We've read other books about trains, and other books about being helpful, but this one falls flat.

The illustrations are wonderfully detailed - and brought back many memories for me - but they are from an era 70 or more years ago. Change text.
