The romance between Jack and Heather alternated between beautiful, maddening, and heartbreaking. No false leads, no playing with the reader. Her visceral reaction is to ask the flight attendant to throw it out, only to immediately regret it and request her assistance to dig it out of the trash again.The second half of the novel is written at a slower pace.
