"Fire in the Rain", "Bite the Hand That Feeds" and "So Strange" were used for the 1990 horror film Pale Blood, which also featured live performances by the band. Very big, lively sound on this reissue, not compressed, no muddiness, I was very suprised how good this sounds. Living in Darkness is the debut studio album by American punk rock band Agent Orange, released in 1981 on Posh Boy Records. I am really happy with this version of this classic must-have American hardcore punk record.
Sounds so good! The album showcased the band's innovative mixture of punk, surf rock and skate punk, and was also listed in the "10 Best Skate Punk Records of All Time". I have a 1981, says PBS122A/PBS122B. Pressed at QRP, comes in anti-static sleeve. What is the easiest way to differentiate the original pressing from the repress? But the music still retains its rawness and edge. In 1992, it was expanded to include three unreleased tracks from the album sessions as well as the 1979 recordings that won them their Posh Boy contract. One hell of a record, thanks Mike Palm & Agent Orange for a lifetime classic! After listening to Rhino Records' reissue of Agent Orange's classic 1981 debut Living in Darkness, that's probably what the listener will be wondering.
High energy, high octane punk rock captured marvelously. The original album consisted of eight tracks. Best cd I have ever bought, and this one has more songs on it than the 2012 re-release. Living In Darkness
The copy I have has the same label on both sides. Highly reccomend. Everything is crystal clear and the drums are punchy as hell.
Is this official? Extraordinary quality at that price point. First heard them on the Skatevisions video when I was about 10-11 years old ('83-'84), been a fan ever since.
In 1992, it was expanded to include three unreleased tracks from the album sessions ("Three songs are covers of classic surf instrumentals: "Pipeline" by All songs written by Mike Palm, except for where noted. I have a copy with the second press matrix but with the yellow labels. Likely the 1st press version as the label is consistent with other releases by Posh Boy in 81'
GetBack/Abraxus/GZ Vinyl did a great job. An damn near audiophile remaster of some very raw music. The Masterdisk remaster is amazing. The CD features the original LP track list with a limited initial run of 1,000 copies.
