Professors and teaching assistants are available … not only that but they said that i would be able to work anywhere but when i went to apply for a job in LA Fitness and some other gyms...they didn't even know who Penn Foster is and said that i need a different certificate.....this school is a waste of time and money......Ok, so I started the Dental Assistant program a few months ago, and it all seemed GREAT!! Now I was blessed enough to find a job as an MT for a wonderful company and they provided me additional training as well before I even graduated from PennFoster.
Overall, I would recommend this school.Don't expect any help getting a position after you graduate.
Would not recommend this corse unless you have the finances to be certified.I have mixed reviews on Penn Foster Career School, mostly not good though. Dental assistants are important members of the team in a thriving dentist’s office.
I just hate that I didn't research more into it before choosing to enroll and paid.

I found this out two weeks into the program, and I HAVE to finish seeing how I'm using military funded money. If you don't listen to me I will say "I told you so!" The only things that I like about the school is that you can do a payment plan, it does provide you with the basic knowledge you need to be a medical transcriptionist and it is fairly easy. You’ll also review disease transmission, pathology, and dental emergencies.
I think this program will go away or be totally revamped.
If you’re looking for a rewarding career, this could be the right job for you.
Please review your state board requirements that are applicable to your field of study. I have to pass..which isn't a problem..it's REALLY easy, actually too easy.
They took my money and wouldn't give it back.
In this course, you’ll develop the necessary skills to ensure your success in the program. A few months after that, I recieved a notice from them billing me an extra 75.00 for "extended study time." You’ll review various components and methods of how to prepare and administer anesthesia safely. I have been finished with my coures for over a month now and I have yet to recieve any information on wether I will recieve my diplom and when, even after me contacting them several times. I came to find out as I was working and doing school, the teachers or whoever graded my material didn't quite know what they were doing. When you can complete a program around your existing schedule, you’ll be less stressed and more able to complete the work required. I have 2 master degrees and they wanted me to take my basic classes all over again. I highly recommend Penn Foster and with out them I would never have been able to afford to go back to college to get a bachelor's degree. I would definitely look into what type of accreditation you will need for your seeking job and see if PENN FOSTER has that accredidation...chances are..it won't. Find out what your state requires of dental assistants before enrolling into a training program. I will owe no student loans upon finishing unlike the other college I went to and owe 16,000 for a medical assistant diploma certification after using a full pel grant so yes Penn Foster is amazing.
